I am using wheels from the original package but replaced the 轉向座, bearings and 狗骨.  However, the wheels seems loose.  I have tighten up the nuts and bolts but it's not helping.

Is it due to the quality of the original wheel? Will the situation improve if I change the wheels to 合金輪????

Many thanks

Use Kyosho metal 狗骨 is the best, although it's more expensive....it's the best fit and last longer time!

I think I am using 3raching.  However, the problem exist when I was using the original plastic 狗骨 from Kyosho.

Try the metal one....also the toe in/ out rod....check the holes, sometimes it wears out....the hole becomes bigger also will make the wheels move!

I think wheel wobbling could be contributed by two main factors:

1) Worn and tear
That you just have to replace, in order to improve.  Usually, replacing the plastic wheel or plastic knuckle should somewhat solve the problem; but if you have been using the chassis for a long time, as scalpel said, the holes become bigger and the knuckle may wobble in it--then it is probably time to change your chassis.

2) Spacing
Even everything is brand new, one may still potentially see the loose wheels/wheels wobble/unnecessary slack due to spacing issue.  Different 3rd party manufacturers' parts may come in all different sizes.  One easy way to tell is simply pull and push your wheel out or into the chassis, to see whether there is unnecessary spacing/slack.  More slack there is, more easy it will cause wheel wobbling or affect performance.  Kyosho had came out with 'wheel spacer' for addressing that issue.

Hope this helps.

Thanks Aurora.  Very detail indeed.

I guess my problem will be the combination of both.  When I take out the wheel and 狗骨 by themself, I can feel the wobble already.

When I put them back  together with the chassis and push the wheel against the body, I can see there is space between the 狗骨 and the outer joint.  Becaue I am new, I am not sure if the space is normal.  Or how much space is considered normal.

I will also look into the wheell spacer.  thanks.

kayipchan, more than welcome, anytime.

The space between the CVD (the dogbone shaped shaft) and the outer joint of your differential is considered normal.  When driving, the knuckles are moving up and down, while the differential is spinning the pins on the CVD to drive them forward, it is probably good that the only touching parts between the the diff and CVD are the pins on CVD.(otherwise there will be a lot of friction caused)

For wheel spacing/slack, usually most people are referring to the space between the wheel and the knuckle.  Some proper spacing is necessary, orelse the wheel will be pinned on the knuckle/bearing by the nut.  But if there are a few mm of movements, then you are definitely having too much slack.

Thanks.  For the "wheel spacer", are you referring to item "MDW022" in the following link?
http://www.kyosho.com/eng/products/rc/np0707.html

I guess the situation isn't serious as my car can still run in straight line most of the time on a flat surface, even with drifting tire.

Yes, indeed.  MDW022.

Your judgement la, usually I find those issues become problem when it affects precision or performance of car.
