Won't you mind how much you got the NIB?
Spend $4500 for a RC tank is a tough decision for me.  But it seems that Tamiya will develop new 1/16 RC tanks in the future but not reuse old tanks like Leopard & gepard.

SSP has a NIB Leopard selling, asking $4500.----what a steep price!  But I like Gepard more!

It is suggested to use ESC, so, the clutch would have less loading when starting to move. Always use low speen when start, speed up the tank slowly. it is the way to run a vintage tamiya twin clutch tank.
