I have two brushless mini inferno, both run very good laaa....  and cheap to run and lots of fun.

waiting to see if there is a new mini inferno with normal electronics, can then change to brushless easily ...

prefer to have sensored 380/370 size motor but unfortunately, other than expensive novak (and currently no stock), all small 370 motor from hobbywing, SP etc are sensorless.  This is not so good for offroad especially for going up slow hill with power, sometimes no response, unless gear down, but then not very fast.

如果18仔用18t.5800kv.370size都夠用啦.但mini inferno 是1/16.車重好多.起碼用380size至會夠力夠快.
我之前試過買540摩打座改有刷玩過但是叉速及其他轉動系統頂吾順.

sorry C-Hing, not good typing chinese.  

Agree with you that 370 slight under power.  I find it is ok with with high KV and with low pinion gear.  I use a 5800kv but use 12T pinion on the Mini Inferno.  It seems high rpm with brushless works better as efficiency is higher at high RPM, and so not much heat.  And the esc is ok too, no overheat.

Here is a link of my mini inferno, I post earlier with the special modification on the servo mount, to allow the mini inferno to use stick pack.  Hope this is useful idea for C-Hing moon.
