Charging time

I get a 3600 (6 cells) batteries. I would like to ask how long does it take to fully charge by using 4.5A?  If you know the formula for
calculating the charging time based on different types of battery. please post as well.....

3600 即係 3600mAH
即係用3.6A 放電  就一個鐘放完既意思
雖然唔係好岩,  不過倒轉來講 即係用 3.6A 差  就最少差一個鐘
如果用 4.5 未即係   3600 / 4500  即係 0.8個鐘羅
即係48分鐘左右~~~
不過...你要知來做咩呢

其實以上公式只作理想的参考 , 因一般充電時輸出的電壓一定要比原電壓高才可有效充地去充電 , 所以如你充一節1.2v3600mah充時 , 可能用上1.8v3600ma(3.6A) , 那便不是1小時充滿了 , 又因充電的初期電流電壓會很快地充入電池但實際電池升壓到某點的時候內阻 , 溫度等等變化的外來因數
電池上印有如 : 1.2v 3600mah=v伏 , ma毫安 , h小時 =在1.2 伏的環境下可有每小時3600亳安的極放容量值 , 而伏特和亳安是十進制 , 情說就好像一3600毫升的水壼一樣 , 你每小時入水360亳升 , 公程是3600/360=10小時 , 但可可作粗劣的參考因天氣乾燥溫度高等等變化的外來因數而改變 , 以下地方可作參考

Just bought a 3000mAh battery today...  It suggested to use 2-3A to charge.  Mannn, take a long time to charge....

Haven't tried out how much play time I get from this....

After 1hr 40min charge at 2.8A, my 3000mAh battery got very hot.  Charger still didn't stop, and the capacity read 4200 on the charger LCD.  

I was so concern, so I unplug it.  


Charger is the Dynamite Prophet Plus LCD  (new gar)
Battery is a cheap 3000mAh NiMh (new, just bought it)

Any suggestion??

if your charger doesn't got (- delta V) adjustment, you have to stop the charger manually when you see the reading around 3100 and 3200 mAh...... otherwise, your battery will be overcharged. If you are using stick pack (3000 mAh), you'd better use 3A to charge and the charging should be completed around an hour. Those stick pack will be overheat if charge with 3.5A or higher.

Need to unplug manually??   Then, what's the point to buy a "peak charger"

Nowadays, almost all RC battery charger using "delta V" peak detection. The different between those charger is some could adjust the "delta V" value since different brands of battery may have different value. Generally, if you are using good battery as Orion, Trinity....... a general peak charger could do a good job anyway...... but using no brand battery, because of the quality, the battery may not very stable by the time change, an adjustment "delta V" Peak charger have to be used in this situation. Otherwise, just like the incident that over 4000mAh, the charger still going charging the battery....... even there're a different between those chargers but the tolerance won't be +/- 1000 mAh......... normally the tolerance around +/- 100 to 200 mAh.

Don't try to save money on cheaper charger and battery...... the feedback of those good and general stuff will bring you a big difference. All my batteries are Trinity or Orion, and I am using ICE, Robitronic chargers.... up till now, I don't have any charging of discharging problem. Beside good battey could bring you more speed..... even using a "white motor" will be faster than some 23T motors. Battery and charger play an important role in EP racing.

多謝代答 , 補充一下充電流特性(鋰電除外) , 充至七至八成後正常下温度是會不斷上升 , 可充至3000以外也是正常因早前提個這些錶是哈哈錶只作参考 , 錶所出的數是用充入電×時間 , 無把線和接點 , 充電至七八成時溫度上升電池內阻改變等等等計在內 , 所以LCD不可盡信 , 要用上過萬元的測定機才可信多小小

Thanks everyone.  I went back to the shop and exchanged a slightly better one.  3300mAh this time.  No la, can't afford Trinity la.  I am already very happy with my HPI RTR Sprint2.  Just want something that works and last and not too expensive

This time the 3300mAh battery stopped at 3425mAh...  great!!

The reading is good........ and then you have to test your battery on the car...... if using 23T motor, the accepted power should be maintained 8 minutes at least........ since your battery is new, it may not have a good performance..... but after repeat charging and discharging a few time..... if found cannot maintain 8 minutes..... then the battery's quality may not as good as  expect, otherwise the charger didn't do its job. Enjoy!
