Trail run of the 20 years old car again last night (2011_08_27) at JV:
- Used a less T motor (Tamiya lightly tuned 23T);
- Modified the front A upper arms;
- Front tires (original 20 years old!!!)
- Rear tires (2nd hand F104 tires with group c rims)
Hope can play with the sunday morning F1 session later la...
The car was very under steer last night... may be due to the hard front spring or the "no" grip front tires
To over come the problem, I brake late at the corners so that the rear could slide slightly and give a swing to enter the corners...
How did you make the twin balls connector at the front steering upright?
Oh i changed to use a longer king pin then allow rooms for 2 ball connectors inside the front wheels. Haven't try 103 wheels yet the diameter of 103 wheels are smaller. But should be ok with 104 wheels. I think .
It helps to solve the problem of broken arms. But due to it's old 102 front lower arm design (no pivot balls) I cant set any camber with the upper arms.
May try to use it with the 103 front arms later see if it work .
