Very expensive and you need lots of space at home to setup the track.

yes, you are right, the smallest one is ~2.4 x 3.6 M. I am just thinking about setting it up inside a carpark/ common area near my home. do you think the quality is good, say the surface of the track, what material. flat enough? traction good enough? durable?

As far as I know, those are called EVA material. Offical track material for Kyosho Mini-Z race in Japan. EVA commonly used in those slippers or sandals that wearing to the beach.
