C-Hing moon,

Here is the secret revealed.

The modification to make the Kyosho Mini Inferno into a M-Chassis car, for my favourite "Behind View" Mini Cooper Tamiya. A long project to make the back extension and wheel adaptations etc, but great fun and am enjoying the result

btw: are you using an outrunner motor?

Thx bud.... Yes, it is an outrunner... It is experimental.

I find that with powerful lipo and brushless these days, it may not be necessary to use full 540 size motor and large lipo packs. With this experiement, as it is an outrunner (4000kV - 500W - experience from RC plances), I can get quite high torque and lower weight, whilst the running time for the small lipo pack (motorcycle size - 1800mAh 20C) is around 15 mins. Performance is not bad for running around, and that the lipo costs is much lower. The battery I use is around HK$110.

This kind of modification is interesting, but I am wondering the strength of the chasis is not good enough!!!

Indeed, there is always compromise, so far so good laa....

Its a fun racer

and now can use many ready Mini Inferno parts.

PS: its now been a few months play already, not broken yet..... going strong, and lots of cheap spares
