Thank you in advance!!
I have also been trying to acquire either an Align 550 or 600 (E).
I am afraid I would not pick the 550 for a very simple reason; the 550 ccpm servo arms are not of push-pull type. This will unnecessarily create uneven loading to the ccpm servos.
I plan to get a 600. I have been waiting for a 3G 600 version. In case a 3G 600 is not forthcoming in the near future, I would convert a 600 to a 3G 600.
I have been flying a 3G 500 for a while, which is much better than a non-3G 500.
Yeah, I agree what you said.
Since I have had my old shuttle converted to electric recently and fly nicely with just 4S with low head speed, by no mean I will get a 550 which is more or less same size of my shuttle. So I 'm getting a 600E (a clone) in couple of days.
BTW , What is the diffference in flying between 3G and non-3G? Just in terms of stability??
A 3G heli is much more superior in terms of agility. It is also more stable as the 3G system helps the pilot to fly, particularly in windy conditions. I strongly recommend 3G be adopted.
Thanks ching's!! Maybe I should just get the 600E. ;) For 3G I don't have any align one but have convert my 450 to flybarless and I love it. The cyclic input feel very quick and "follow my hand", very stable even in light wind situation. I think once you go flybarless you will never look back.
As I said earlier, Align 3G 600 (E) is not available yet. That is why I said I have been waiting for it. In fact, I am given to understand that it would not be available in the foreseeble future as 600 "overlaps" with 550.
You may consider converting a 600 to a 3G 600, which will cost a little bit more than a 3G 600 combo if it were available. In any case, I reiterate you go ahead with 3G and forget about flybars forever. I look forward to flying 3G 600 with you.
