標題: which brushless system is the best?
Seems lots of people buying and testing the LRP system!!!
Some of them said LRP's 4 Star brushless motor is slower than the Novak's but the LRP's ESC is better than the Novak's one. And some A main driver turning their wheel towards the brushless system in HK, in my own observation that the brushless system is more torque than the brush system, no matter you use the most Powerful VFS1 with a V2 motor, it can always piss you off out of the corner, but i had never try to rise my gear ratio to above 10 ( i'm using the VFS1 with a v2 7 x 1, and most of the brushless driver are using 10 or above gear ratio ), and the top speed of them are around 7 turn ( at the TC track ). I had try my friends 4.5r system that give me a hard time to control the car, because of the high torque output, its more aggressive, on the other hands that you need to be more and more gentle on your throttle control!!! Maybe its the time to change your system????

Something had happened to my friend's 4.5R Novak system,
the ESC burns out while my friend playing his second round!!!
Seems is cause by overheating!!!
And the other true story is ....... one of the Novak user had bruns his ESC at the first time he use, cause by hell, it's  not casue by any faulty wiring!!!
Does anyone had the same problems before???

I've been used 4.5R for about 15 packs of battery..... no overheating issue.

overheat problem always related to use not proper gear ratio....

just for the case study to all of you guys, nothing meaning and i had no doubt about the quality of the Novak's product

Hi Teddybear, here is my case:

car type: Pro4
gear ratio: 10.38
battey: 4200
ESC: GTB 4.5
temp on that day: around 25
no extra fan

Since I'm a newbie on Brushless, so I deliberately set the gear ratio to over 10, both the motor and the ESC were only a little bit warm (you can comfortably put your finger on ESC without any problem) after 10-15 minutes run.  So, I can sure that it also works fine even with gear ratio around 9.0 - 9.5.

I use Novak at the moment. The choice I made is because the brand name. I never have one ESC from Novak have problem in my RC life. They specify very clear of their product spec. and capability.
For LRP, they don't really specify clear in a lot of points. So you never know it's margain. Sometimes you may burn it for that few points.

我用 TB Evo IV, LRP Vector 3-star (9T) + Sphere, 行 96T + 30T = 7.34

都幾 OK 喎 (全車已加 Shim 片 fit 位,改用頭尾珠差,電變及摩打均有安裝風扇)

曾聽有 D 高手話,Brushless system 用至 9T 是速度及扭力之間的較佳平衡點,若至 7T 只適合比賽用及較難操控,大家點睇?

hi brushless, thanks for your sharing here! But i would like to try the 4 star, because it seems a big difference between them, no matter in terms of power or speed, i think it just about time to get use to the power and speed. in my memory that when i change to play modify motor from 23T, i crash my car all the time but now i get use to it la....

teddybear - I know that 4 Star is much more faster than 3 Star at RPM, but how about your consideration for the Torque?

Without the reverse function, the ESC can have lower internal resistance and more punch.... if you see a technical specification comparison between 2 brushless ESC (one with reverse, one without), then you'll see the difference.

Brushless O既 reverse 都係用同一組fet去drive, 只是個drive sequence 返轉.
不是像brushed以反壓去drive.
以lrp呢講, sphere有rev, 而shpere comp. 冇rev, 但呢2隻用o既fet都唔同啦.
如果brushless system 有rev會犧牲performance, 我o念gtb都唔會有rev function啦.

Yes..... sphere comp is better comparing with sphere

2隻唔同model 比較又怎能作準呢.
你留意o下gtb個spec:
"Rated Current (Brushless--per phase) ............540A [Fwd & Rev.]***  "
FWD & REV都係一樣CURRENT..
因為FWD & REV都係同一個driver去drive.
但current就只有一個方向. FWD & REV 只是drive sequence 不同而已.
