As I know, it is a shell for Boomerang. Its name is "Winger". It was released in 1987. A comics magazine called "Boom" organised a competition for boomerang body design. It was the winning design and Tamiya produced it. It was said to improve the aerodynamics of boomerang but god knows. Correct me If I was wrong.
When I saw it in hobby store when I was young, I was wondering if it could fit my old boomerang(I have an old one and still own it).
It said "for boomerang" in japanese on the box. However, I was too shy to ask when I was young and I missed the chance.
It looks like kyosho Salute and it is really cool.
I got another painted black one.
It appears in Yahoo japan sometimes. NIB or painted but I don't know the colour of the original deisgn. (As other C-hing says "Natural"). Please tell me if anyone knows.
By the way, the famous model manufacurer "Volks" produce limited 3000 pieces body for Boomerang. Anyone has idea? (or can post a photo to share).
