I think TLU-101 ESC FET are not drain current from MCU directly , it drain current from high voltage charge pump and control logic. Because all FEt are N CHANNEL one , NOT P AND N Mixed H bridge.It ...
Please note that the mosfet is driven by driver whose signal come from MCU. The RMS mosfet driving current is very small as it is voltage control device. However, the peak driving current can be large. Usually, the lower Rdson mosfet would take higher peak driving current which the mosfet driver may not be able to handle it.
To play safe, you can select a lower Rdson mosfet with same or smaller total gate charge. Then the peak driving current will not exceed your original ESC driver capability.
