If you want 12V 5A output, you need a real big 太陽能充電器!!!

I have the same intention to build one also.......

you need one BUCK BOOST converter for regulating the output voltage and one lead acid battery for storage  all of them that you can buy from SSP,but very expensive....  You  can build it yourself if you have some basic knowledge of power e and system control.

Rough estimation:-
Charge controller say 8A max is necessary when the power is over 30W. Around USD20.-

A small battery 1AH? for buffer may be enough.

Detailed design .. need to calculate...  ...
