My first flying kit - KIM240 FPV

Kits delivered last week, get used to have buidling instrutions on RC Cars but this time....like IQ quiz.
After a few days web browsing for info, project eventually started in 2014 (last night haha), have fun so far.   And, decided to go with Walkera Devo 8S, probably will try to go DeviationX flashing later on.   Choice of camera/imagine transmitter....Sony700 vs TSxxx...would be next stage decision, make sure I can fly my machine first.

Btw, would like to know does weight balancing matters, or CC3D set it up right be fine?  As I may add other stuff (like CAM...etc) at later stage that would affect the CG position.   Happy New Year!

可惜我的車控是3通，雞野flysky gt3c.  減震跟kim240, 但四腳有加減震，用savox servo 跟身軟膠件.

Oh, 我都以為v2, 買錯,  放上層好D嗎？不過砌得好過引，有唸個反轉飛似軍用直升機型態.

用rudo dr switch 做arm disarm switch.  Funny work.

車用spare led parts..looking cool.

V tail module, from a plastic stand, change to standalone or extending kim240 to 6 quad as experiment yet to decide...

agreed for beginners like me.  

Spent hours....replacing the broken middle board by spared Tamiya F104 board and added Walkera Master CP skid landing part...
Having fun doing DYI just added weight a bit.  586g!!  Planning to replace the metal case Sony cam.

Not really, but have fun to introduce independent suspension (added springs into skid landing screw).
Other than reducing weight, wondering if change from 5030 to 534x or even 6" may help lefting power.  Btw, not really test it well outdoor.

Latest mod with F104 body weighted 545g.  Ready to go outdoor trial this weekend.

After upgraded to OP version 15.02.02, just follow the Vehicle Setup Wizard along the way, it will be linked to  channel5 automatically.
Things to check:
- Transmitter:  As I'm using Dev 8s my 3-switch can be shown graphically (vertical bar) getting low-mid-high values corresponding to the 3 diff. position of the Fmod switch.
- OpenPilot: Ensure Input->Flight Mode Switch Settings->Flight Mode Count showing 3 (but that's being the default value anyway);

Arm disarm/arm switch:
- Again, after upgrade to OP ver 15.02.02 I just follow the wizard.  But you may check the Input->RC Input
  For me, it's Function column=Accessory0  mapping to Channel6 which mapping to my transmitter GEAR switch, ensure your GEAR switch do trigger Low/High values when flipping around.. In your ArmSetting, you should set the corresponding Function column value, i.e. in my case Accessory0.   Btw, I get used to set 'Always Armed', that's to say when power up, it's armed.   For me it's less confusing.
