I know this kind of hack for a while already, but i just want to find out, in the case for the TLU-101 ESC. Does the ESC microcontroller output have enough current to turn on the FET?
I think TLU-101 ESC FET are not drain current from MCU directly , it drain current from high voltage charge pump and control logic. Because all FEt are N CHANNEL one , NOT P AND N Mixed H bridge. It need high volt to turn on the upper bridge....
Also MOSFET is a voltage control current device , it only drain a few uA current to turn it on (not like power BJT is current control voltage).
so, i think that is ok and may be work very well
Please note that the mosfet is driven by driver whose signal come from MCU. The RMS mosfet driving current is very small as it is voltage control device. However, the peak driving current can be l ...
I say it drain current from mosfet driver and not mcu directly(please note that mosfet driver has individual power supply),and the mosfet driver output a high voltage that come from the charge pump inside the mosfet driver!!!!!!
So, it is depend on mosfet driver output current that can handle it or not!!!!
