New IP LiFe battery

Did anyone bought the new blue color IP LiFe battery? Anyone has give it a try already?

I suppose it is "China" A123?

- 3.3v per cell x 2 = 6.6v, seems to be more powerful as mentioned in overseas forum
- can use the full capacity, the main advantage over lipo
- weight more than lipo, so less balance weight is needed on typical touring car
- Price comparable with lipo, i saw 3800mAh 35c, box type at $380
- can charge on most of our existing lipo charger, with shorter re-charge time
- more safe and stable than lipo, no more lipo safe bag or fire

Advantages
Lower cost
Last longer (1000+ for A123 vs 100 for LiPo)
Faster charge (15 min)
Almost indestructible in a crash (LiPo’s are fairly fragile and easily damaged)
No need to cool before charging (LiPo have to be cooled to ambient)
Don’t have to worry that much about over discharge (one over discharge on a LiPo and its history)
Over charging is not a problem – the cells just settle back to 3.6v/cell with no risk of a fire


Disadvantages
Heavier weight
Lower voltage
Not a wide selection of cell shapes and sizes
Requires a charger with LiFe or A123 battery type
