Nowadays, there is no switch specially for change of pitch/collective among +ve & -ve. Although such design can find in some obsolete designed transmitters.
Throttle channel is mixed with collective channel. Usually in flying 3D, throttle is keep at a high (rotation per minute) RPM, i.e. the throttle is keeping at e.g. 100% RPM. As the channel of throttle and collective is mixed, hence, the stick for controlling the pitch with centre is 0 degree, highest stick position is 10 degree whilst lowerest stick is -10 degree. Anyway, you may need a 6-channels control for flying 3D helis.
You can imagine the rotor is keeping at high rpm. Any change of throttle (collective) stick position can bring the heli in all direction no matter it is up right or inverted.
Thank about it. Above degree figures (+10, -10) are just for reference. In some helis, you may set to + - 14 degree without binding. |
