nobody will try to find the limit of the engine from lean setting as starting point
Normally, they will set the engine running in rich setting at the beginning....2nd, lean the engine and see its response....continue to lean and monitor the response, if u find that the engine has no more difference in performance, then this is the limit
But, this method only apply for those extreme racers. They no need to consider the life of the engine....the purpose is to squeece the top power within one race...
recommend u lean the engine and monitor the engine, keep it below 110 degree....
apart from the engine setting, I know there are various viewpoints in after-run maintenance...
Before adding after-run oils, some people will burn all fuel inside the engine chamber completely.....Personally, I dont recommend this method.....without sufficient lubicrant, the dry running is very harmful to the engine....
For maintenance, I prefer to add excessive after-run oil into the engine....of course, some people will say it is harmful to the chicken leg wooh.....but before u restarting the engine, u can unscrew the plug and rotate the engine to withdraw the after-run oil
good luck...there are plenty of knowledge in these simple two stroke model engines
