    * The output characteristics of this capacitor are focused on low to mid-range torques. It increases the power sensitivity when accelerating from reduced speeds, which is particularly effective for a technical course with a large number of corners and for drifting.

Thanks for information. ^^

Would it be a kind of booster?!

Is there anyone using this for your 12 仔? Thanks !

This is not a booster, just a high-power capacitor (電容).
Under heavy acceleration, the main battery will have a large voltage drop.  When this happens, this capacitor releases its energy to the ESC/motor. Some people called this '爆D'.

For 12仔, you dont really need this high-power storage since the car is lighter and its RWD only.  Too much power will spinout the car.

Will you play 1s (3.7) or 2s (7.4)?
Also, do you have experience in RC?  or 1/10 touring?

Will 2s Lipo 7.4V be too fast for begineer?
If so, I will try 3.7V 1s Lipo. ^^

Both 1S or 2S can be fast or slow.  It depends on the motor and gearing.

However, 1S and 2S require different setups. If you have older equipment (touring ESC and motors) you can start with 2S to save some $.

If you have no equipment and will ONLY play 1/12, then use 1S.  Of course, if you are into racing, 1S is the way to go.

I do not have any electronic left over so 1/12 would be a new road to me ^^

For 1S setup, what you would suggest?

ESC=?
Motor=?
Servo=?
Lipo cell=?

Also, I have no radio control with me at the moment and I saw some information on the newly issue of Futaba 4PL 2.4G, any comment? Thanks !

With no equipment, you can consider:
ESC: LRP SXXv2 (~$12xx)  (for less $, you can try Hobbywing/SpeedPassion 1s ($8xx))
Motor: LRPx12 4.5R/4.0R ($6xx) or SPv3 ($5xx) or Team Power 4.5R/4.0R ($4xx)
Servo: Futaba S9650 ($4xx)
Lipo: (1s) Silverback or SMC ($2xx-$3xx)
As for controller, I think 4PL 2.4G should be ok.  Its an entry level one, but will have the essential features.

I forgot to add that if you think 4.5/4.0 @ 1s is too fast for you, you can consider to try 10.5 + 1s first.  This is probably a better speed for beginners.  Actually with the proper gearing 10.5 can be pretty fast.

Its because for mod racing (4.5/4.0) the gearing is quite limited, so its harder to slow down the car just using gearing.  Another way to slow down when using a mod motor is to trim down your hi-point on your controller. (ie running @ 70% for example) But dont know if 4pl has that or not.

Do you have experience in playing 1/10 touring?

Xray link 12仔 is a good car, but parts may be a problem in HK.

if you have not played 1/10 before, you may get a hard time starting to play 1/12.  Since 1/12 is rear wheel drive and is rear heavy, you may spin-out very easily.  You got to have a 'light' throttle finger.  But once you know the technique, 12仔 is very fun because it is very fast and agile.

Tire choice is very important for 12仔.  Most brands are very good.
Best is CRC, Jaco;
Good is Exceed, ATS;
Value is Speedmind, Yokomo.

Usually @ JV, I run front 35, rear 32.

    Right, but I think we can order parts from the local RC shops or in the net. ^^
    For Jaco set-tires, do we need to order them locally?
    I have been walked via KWS last week but seems that it is out of stocks.

Because 12仔 is not overly popular in HK, so stores do not stock too much 12仔 items. If you can find some source on the net, its even better.

For Jaco tires, its just out of stock everywhere in HK.  Try other brands first, you may like them better.  I use Speedmind and Yokomo and they are good as well.
