Objective: RWD/PullStart/Steering Control
Status:
- New engine GO18 installed and finished 1st and half tank run-in
- Removed front one-way to reduce weight and loading.
- Got Gyro GWS but not installed yet.
Optional action:
- Weight re-distribution: move/replace receiver cell to front side, leverage the free up space;
- lowering the fuel tank by 5mm or more (matching R4!) to lower the CG;- car tuning from 4WD chassis to RWD to make it more controllable, need help/advise from Ching!!
Nitecore S1 3.7V 2600mAh being considered as receiver battery (embedded with overcharge/discharge protection circuits), wonder if 3.7V too weak to drive the servo/receiver and coming gyro.
Hi thanks, I used to be model maker like Gundam Perfect Grade that really admire the realism of scale model. Saying that, high speed gives me good feeling though not a racer. Looking forward to try things good rather than follow the instructions out of the box. For tuning up a RWD, really hope to have good advises from Chings. Cheers.
Quick slippy on straight mid traction road and changed Kyosho differential oil 40000 wt at rear differential. Tested run tonight on high traction road very happy on the result, scary speed already at 1/2 throttle, my forth tanks for run-in. More controllable than my wide F104.
pretty weak? get 2 batteries and get a voltage regulator for 6 volts....afteralll you have 2 servos and don't want to lose control for a gas car.......................
No drifting yet, didn't install the gyro. I treat it still an engine break-in stage but on high traction road last night the speed and traction is better than expected with respective to RWD. Saying that, using more heavy differential oil at rear be the right direction...
