標題: RCL Incident Pro major surgery
NEW PICTURES ADDED

Fully modified RCL Incident Pro, rarest of the rare, about 1986 to 1987. 4wd, 3 differentials, can be 4wds.

Now it has a ball bearing steering in the front. Locked out rear steering. Titanium turnbuckles (thanks minimini)Stiffened graphite chassis custom made with 2mm material. Switched motor from the front of the centre gearbox to the back, battery will be in the center now. I have a brand new body to fit onto this car. HPI touring car shocks. May convert into a more conventional 2 shocks suspension in the rear. Also have 2 set of plastic white wheels, 1 set of aluminium wheels, 3 sets of tires.

Will put in vintage Tekin esc.

I got it NIB with a trinity monster horse power motor NIB for less than USD$190 (still cannot believe my luck

, a few weeks ago an old car showed up on ebay with no body and went for more than USD$220

), not bad for a 20 years old out of production car from a closed down manufacturer.

This car was my joy of 2007.

Still working on it though

This car was around 1986, 1987. Very few were distributed. I saw one guy tried to race it in one of the weekend race in Hong Kong. However, he did not even manage to start and was on the side line the whole day

Acutally, how many versions of Incident had been released?
What are their major difference?

Based on what I understand there were 2 versions: (1) Incident and (2) Incident Pro.

Incident Pro had the following 'upgrade':
(a) silver color chassis, same plastic material but was simply silver color painted

(b) alumnium wheels, as seen in one of the photos above: original one were plastic wheels as see above.
(c) universal drives, original one were 4 dogbones
(d) cast metal steering hubs, original one were white plastic
(e) original incident has a almost 100% sealed chassis for water proofing. The Incident Pros has a opened top chassis with way less coverage, better for heat dissipation of the speed control and motor
(f) Pro version comes with 4 inch diameter 'Pro' sticker that you could not use anywhere

(g) same box for both vesions but with a 'Pro' sticker on the box for the Incident Pro

I think what you saw before......is just the driver's failure instead of the car's problem.......

I think so too. The driver went to the race with a girl, he looked very clueless.

Of course this car was not easy to set up but I thought he should had been able to run it. But he did not even practise with it, therefore, I never saw the car in motion at all

........that was the major mistake he made........which explained why he looked so clueless......
